About our School

Saint Elizabeth Regional School serves the families of Saint Elizabeth of Hungary, St. Mary, St. John the Baptist, SS Peter & Paul and Immaculate Conception Parishes.  Currently 178 students are enrolled in Grades Kindergarten through 8.

Saint Elizabeth Parish provides a Pre-Kindergarten program for 3 and 4 year olds and an Extended Day program for before and after school care.

Our curriculum is built on a solid foundation in basic skills.  Religion, writing, and mathematics are strongly emphasized.  Reading and math classes are held at the same time throughout the school to allow the children to advance according to their level.   Students are able to make more progress because more time can be given to groups.   The concept of continuous progress has been strongly supported with success by the Diocese of Allentown, Office of Catholic Education.  In some cases, there will be mixed classes in a particular Math or Reading class according to Level Placement.   There is a great deal of educational literature supporting this concept not only enabling students to achieve higher scores in standardized tests but also in fostering positive self- acceptance.

    We offer:

    •  A Full day Kindergarten program

    •  A National School Lunch Program

    •  An Extended Day Care Program

Our facilities include a newly upgraded networked computer lab with a large collection of quality software for instructing the children in computer skills as well as providing enrichment and remediation in subject areas. Our library includes a multimedia system with reference software and internet access for individual and group research projects.   There are two computers in each classroom.  We employ laser disk technology in the Windows® on Science program, Math, Social Studies.
The administration of Saint Elizabeth Regional School believes in the total development of the student as an individual, and as part of the school community.  We provide opportunities for participation in numerous curricular and extracurricular activities including sports, music, art, academic competitions and service projects.  We hold an annual Thanksgiving festival which focuses on the talent of our Kindergarten to Third Grade students.
Students are encouraged to participate in numerous academic competitions including:
                         Diocesan Spelling Bee
                         Math Counts
                                   Academic Bowl
Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science competition (Grades 7 & 8)

Besides weekly classes, our music program includes a student choir and a hand bell choir, comprised of students in Grades 4 – 8.  These choirs perform monthly at the 9:00 am Mass at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church.  In school, students present an annual Christmas program and a Spring Concert.

Social events include dances for our students in grades 6 – 8.  These dances are also open to 7th & 8th grade students of our CCD classes and other diocesan schools.  Appropriate dress is required.
