News From the Principal
November 11, 2020
Dear Saint Elizabeth Regional School Families,
Happy Veteran’s Day to our veterans and active service men and women and thank you for your service!
As you know there has been an increase in positive COVID-19 cases in Lehigh County. After consultation with the Diocese of Allentown, Saint Elizabeth Regional School will remain open for in-person instruction, five days per week with the option for online learning. In the future, if the Diocese of Allentown or the PA Department of Health determine a change in our status is necessary, a notification will be sent regarding next steps.
As you know, our goal is always to keep our school community as safe as possible and we realize that this may require having extraordinary expectations. Please help us with the following:
- Continue reinforcement of handwashing and use of hand sanitizer.
- Continue use of facial coverings.
- Continued transparency of sending unhealthy students to school.
- Continue to adhere to travel restrictions.
- Limit travel and interactions during Thanksgiving Break.
All families are encouraged to participate in a survey to help us better understand how well we are serving you. The purpose of the survey is to evaluate various program aspects, successes, and needs at our school. Your feedback is very valuable to us and I thank you in advance for taking the time to share your thoughts with the Diocese. Again, thank you for helping us continue to strive to provide the best for your family!
This survey on average will take 5-7 minutes to complete and the results will be reviewed by an independent Diocesan committee. Your responses will remain strictly confidential and results will only be reported back to school administration in aggregate, with no reference to private information. The survey link will only remain open for two weeks!
Our Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive
This year again in an outreach effort we are collecting food items to put together Thanksgiving Baskets for needy members of our community. If you are a needy member of our community please contact me privately. We will collect food items from tomorrow, Thursday, November 12th until Friday, November 20th.
We’ve provided the following list of items to help us vary the foods in each basket. Feel free to help in any way that you can. Students who participate in our Thanksgiving Basket food drive will be given a free dress down day on Tuesday, November 24th. They should wear “fall” colored clothing to celebrate Thanksgiving!
