Tabernacle Placed

Our new pedestal and tabernacle were placed in time for Christmas. Fr. Stan had a vision to place our tabernacle in the center of the altar.  Irene Snyder donated the funds to purchase a tabernacle which Fr Stan did right before she passed away, unfortunately Irene did not have the opportunity to see the tabernacle. Fr. Stan was transferred during this period and it was left to Fr. Joe to carry out the plan. There were many issues to consider and the original plan called for a tabernacle and pedestal base that weighted 3000 lbs, which would have required concrete to be poured and other structural issues. Fortunately after much discussion a new pedestal was designed by Ken Snyder and built by Eastern Surfaces. Along with the tabernacle new handrails were installed to aid celebrants and ministers who negotiate the altar steps. Thank you to all who helped with this project.
