Dear Parish Family,
We have much to be thankful for at St. Elizabeth Church. Our parish has had a rich
history of worship, prayer, service, and community for over eighty-five years. Our
welcoming parish is the place where we live in the presence of God, and life’s most
important blessings, whether it be Mass, sacraments, our ministries, our school, or
our many activities. It is a blessing to be your pastor and witness each day how our
community lives out Christ’s mission.
Our buildings provide us with shelter, and spaces to live our faith. The maintenance
of our facilities is carried out with care, as they enhance our experiences and bring
us closer to God as we share the Gospel at Mass. However, you may have noticed
that over the years the buildings on our campus have begun to show wear over time.
The church roof and carpet need to be replaced. The school building has asbestos
and windows that do not efficiently conserve heating resources. The parish hall, a
well-used area of our parish, needs aesthetic remodeling to keep it appealing to all
who use it and visit.
For these reasons, after thorough discernment and consultation, we are embarking
on a capital campaign to raise $1,300,000 that will allow us to make these
improvements. We realize that this is a challenging undertaking, however, with each
year costs will increase to make these necessary changes.
The enclosed brochure shares the necessary plans to ensure that we raise the funds necessary
to maintain God’s house and continue at St. Elizabeth Church. Whether you are new to St.
Elizabeth parish or have been here from the beginning, I ask you to prayerfully reflect on
how you have been blessed by this parish. I invite you to prayerfully consider how you can
contribute to this crucial effort for our parish and join with me in praying for the success of
our campaign. Sacrificial giving is an expression of our faith and one way to put our faith into
action.
The three-year gift table details pledges ranging from $1,620 to $50,000. That is as little as one
and a half dollars per day over thirty-six months. This wide range of gift opportunities makes it
possible for virtually every family to help in some way.
A time will be set aside during all Masses on the weekend of May 16th and 17th for the faithful
of St. Elizabeth parish to prayerfully consider their pledge. Please bring your completed card, or
be prepared to complete a pledge card at Mass.
Thank you for your continued generous support of our parish as we look together toward
tomorrow with hope as we continue to build the Kingdom of God.
Blessings in Christ,
Fr. Joe
