Social Ministries

Hospitality Ministry

Throughout the year, there are several different events and Church functions that are celebrated with light refreshments. These events include celebrations for the clergy, First Holy Communion, Confirmation, and special Masses, The Hospitality Ministry helps serve refreshments during these functions so that participants can focus on their celebration and prayers. Basket Social

The Basket Social is typically held in October each year to raise money to support the Religious Education programs of the parish. Volunteers begin collecting and making theme baskets throughout the summer and early fall for our basket Social. Parishioners also create unique theme baskets to add to the variety. Food is available during the event to make it a family fun time. Volunteers are needed in the months before the event to create the baskets, during the event for ticket sales, food preparation and serving, and the day after the event to distribute the baskets to the winners.

Parish Breakfast

Parish Breakfasts are held the second Sunday of each month from November to April. We have breakfast teams who take turns throughout the year. The breakfast teams consider themselves to be the happiest workers in the Parish as they join together to make the food, serve and clean up. Each breakfast has a sponsor whose name is prominently displayed during the breakfast that they sponsor as well as a special breakfast item made by one of our parishioners. Support our parish and receive some publicity at the same time.

Parish Festival

Parish Festival is traditionally held the second weekend in June. For two nights we come together in fellowship with bands, festival and ethnic foods, kid friendly games and adult games. Many hands make light work.
